A cute pooch from Flitwick is to become the star of a musical show.
Robbie was among the dogs who turned up for doggie auditions for the role of Toto in the Wizard of Oz musical, being staged early next year by Biggleswade Amateur Theatrical Society.
Robbie’s owner, Megan Molloy, said: “I am over the moon for Robbie to have won the part of Toto. He is such a loving dog and when we rescued him 20 months ago I never imagined how amazing he was going to be. Thank you so much to B.A.T.S for the opportunity – we can’t wait to start rehearsals.”
Second place went to Sky, owned by Sophie Arter from Clophill.
Show judge and canine behaviourist Malcolm Johnson will help train Robbie for specific acting requirements. The show will be staged in January. Visit www.bats-theatre.com
