More than 3,500 car enthusiasts packed the annual Supercar Sunday at the Sharnbrook Hotel.
By 11am the showground was stacked with astonishing supercars as well as the odd hypercar in the form of the Bugatti Veyron and ultrarare Porsche 918 Spyder.
The brand new Lamborghini Huracan made its first visit to Sharnbrook courtesy of event sponsors HR Owen, with this model replacing the popular V10 Gallardo following 10 years of production.
The big crowds who attended the show at Sharnbrook made it their biggest event on record and they were not to be disappointed with the record turnout of supercars with an estimated value on the showground being in excess of £25 million!
Organiser and hotel general manager Ciro Ciampi also arranged the charity draw to win a 1992 Mitsubishi GTO 3000 which had been kindly donated by Antonio and Nancy Carrea of Bedford.
He said: “We have been selling tickets since our Classics Show in May as well as approaching local businesses and contacts over the summer, and it all culminated with the prize draw at 3pm on Sunday.
“It was great to have the winner actually there on the day and present him with the keys. He had nonchalantly given £20 to the charity in return for one ticket on the day and won!
“The total raised for Cancer Research UK was £5,100 - thank you Tony and Nancy!”
