A woman was left seriously injured at the scene of a serious road traffic collision in Bedford on Wednesday (June 15).
The collision, between a red Toyota Corolla and a black Renault Megane, occurred at around 3pm at the junction of Warwick Avenue and Linden Road. The driver of the Toyota, along with two passengers, fled the scene towards Bedford town centre, leaving a lady in her 60s trapped in the other car.
The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
PC Mark Atkins, investigating, said: “This must have been a traumatic experience for the woman, compounded by the apparent disregard for her welfare by the other driver. I am appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident or a red S-reg Toyota being driven in the area yesterday, to come forward with information that may assist our investigation.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Atkins on 101. Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
