Urgent appeal for information after man beaten unconcsious in Bedford alleyway

A man was beaten unconscious and robbed of his smartwatch and mobile phone, after being attacked in Bedford.

Police are appealing to the public for information about the attack, which took place on Sunday, June14.

The victim was walking down Midland Road at around 4am, when he was approached by a group of three men.

As they headed down an alleyway past the Iceland store, the group assaulted him, leaving him unconscious.

The trio of offenders are described as white and aged in their mid-twenties.

When the victim regained consciousness he discovered his mobile phone and smartwatch had been taken.

Investigating officer PC Sajid Saddique said: “At this point in time we don’t know for sure if the victim’s belongings were stolen as part of the assault, however we do know that this was an unprovoked attack which left the victim in an extremely vulnerable state.

“I would urge anyone who may have been in the area at this time, or knows anything about this crime, to please get in touch.”
