A takeaway delivery driver has been robbed by a “potentially violent” man weilding a knife, police say.

Police are appealing for information after the incident on Saturday (October 10).

The victim was delivering a take-away to a property in Leighfield Close when he was approached by a man who threatened him with a knife and demanded money.

After the money was handed over, the offender left the scene in the direction of Rendlesham Walk.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Luke Moore said: “This was an opportunistic crime by a potentially violent individual and it’s important that anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information, contacts us immediately.

“The offender is described as slim, approximately six feet tall, and was wearing a black hooded top and black jogging bottoms.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Moore on 101, text 07786 200 011, or call Crimestoppers, completely anonymously on 0800 555 111.
