Ram raiders who took a cash machine from a wall after after stealing a farm vehicle are being hunted by police.

At around 2am on Saturday (July 4) an agricultural vehicle believed to be stolen from nearby Buckinghamshire was used to dislodge a Barclays cash machine from the side of a post office in College Road, Cranfield.

It was then loaded onto another vehicle and driven away, while the agricultural vehicle was left at the scene.

Detective Constable Adam Cave said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have any information about this incident.

“As well as making off with valuable equipment and cash, these offenders also caused considerable damage to a business premises.

“We also believe they used a stolen vehicle.”

He added: “Bedfordshire Police is committed to fighting crime and we appeal for the public’s help in bringing these criminals to justice.”
