Police appeal after burglaries in Castle Road area of Bedford

Detectives investigating a burglary in Bedford are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The incident happened at a property in Bower Street between 11pm on Wednesday, April 16 and 2.30am on Thursday, April 17.

An offender entered the home through an unlocked door and grabbed to bags containing electrical items such as two HP laptops, a Blackberry, an Apple iPhone 4, an Apple iPhone 3g, a Radley Purse, together with keys, cash, bank cards, a railcard, passport and a small Pandora ring set with pink stones.

Detective Constable Lynn Adams, investigating, is keen to trace anyone who saw a person walking in the area carrying two large bags.

DC Adams said: “The bags taken are described as a black Diesel bag and a large beige shopping bag which may have been discarded by the offender. I would urge anyone who saw anything suspicious in the Bower Street area at around the time of the offence or anyone who has been offered these sort of items for sale recently to contact officers.”
