A man who tried to split up a fight has been left seriously injured after being kicked in the head.
Police are appealing for information about the assault on the man outside The Polish Club, Ashburnham Road, Bedford, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
He received the blow to his head while trying to split up a fight outside the club at around 2.40am.
The offender is described as a white man, over six feet tall, well-built and with short, dark hair. He was wearing a black hoodie with white writing across the front, tracksuit bottoms and trainers.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Claire Case said: “This was a nasty unprovoked attack which has left a man with injured when he was actually trying to help.
“I would urge anyone with information that could assist our investigation to come forward. Violence is not acceptable and we are committed to ensure we find the person responsible.”
