A man has been charged on suspicion of rape after an assault on a woman in the toilets of KFC in Tavistock Street, Bedford.

The incident happened in the fast food restaurant on Friday evening, November 14, between 9.50pm and 11.15pm.

Maciej Andrzejczyk, 38, of No Fixed Abode has been charged with rape. He has been remanded in custody until Tuesday 18 November 2014 when he will

appear at Luton Magistrates court.

Police are asking anyone visiting or eating in the Tavistock Street KFC between 9.50pm and 11.15pm on Friday to contact them if they saw or helped the victim or saw anything unusual.
