Man assaulted in chip shop


Bedfordshire Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was left with a bloodied nose following an assault outside a Bedford takeaway during the early hours of Sunday (February 23).

The incident happened sometime between 4am and 4.30am after the 25 year old victim and his friends had left a Bedford nightspot and were looking to purchase some food in the High Street.

After trying to enter Mario’s fish ‘n’ chip shop in the High Street they became involved in an altercation with the offender who struck him in the face causing his nose to bleed.

The offender is described as being a black man, in his mid-30s, around 5ft 10ins tall, of average build and wearing a florescent yellow jacket.
