The hunt is on for a gang who robbed a man of his phone and cash in a darkened alley.

The group - an unknown number of men - attacked the victim from behind in the alleyway between St Johns Walk and Wyatt Road, in Kempston, and knocked him to the floor.

The offenders, described as wearing balaclavas and dark clothing, then took his phone and cash and ran off. The attack happened between 8.30pm and 8.40pm, on Monday, February 15.

Investigating officer DC Dan Matcham said: “This is a callous attack that has left the victim shaken and frightened to go outside. We are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time, who may have information, to please come forward so we can trace the person responsible.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Matcham on 101, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
