Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after an attempted robbery in Kempston on Tuesday, 10 November.

A woman was approached by a man who demanded she hand over her phone in Addison Howard Park, off Bedford Road, at around 8.30pm.

The offender grabbed the victim’s wrist, but ran off empty-handed in the direction of Bedford Road.

The man is described as black and was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up and a black jacket over it.

He also wore a black scarf over his face, dark jeans and Nike trainers with blue and black patches on them.

Investigating officer PC James French said: “I would be keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at this time and witnessed this frightening incident, or who saw someone who matches the description provided to contact me. Any information can help us find the person responsible and help prevent any further offences.”
