Appeal after missing man’s car found in Great Barford

Police are appealing for help in tracing a man from Hitchin, after a vehicle was found abandoned in Great Barford.

The car, a red Nissan Juke, was found in the car park of The Anchor Inn in High Street, on January 1 and officers are concerned for the welfare of its owner, Leonard Scott, 64, of Cadwell Court.

A police spokesman said: “We’re becoming increasingly concerned for Leonard as he is not believed to have been seen for several days now, and we’d encourage him to get in touch with us to let us know that he is safe.

“We’re also urging anyone who may have seen him, or who has any information about his whereabouts, to contact us straight away.”

Leonard is described as approximately 5’8”, clean shaven, with short grey neat hair, and steel framed glasses.
