A man was rushed to hospital after suffering with severe breathing difficulties yesterday (Wednesday).
At around 10.40pm last night (9th) air ambulance charity Magpas Helimedix arrived at a home in Bedford, via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW to assist the man.
An East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST) ambulance crew requested their assistance after the patient, in his 40s, was falling in and out of unconsciousness and suffering from severe breathing difficulties.
The Magpas team sedated the patient. They then worked alongside a HART crew and paramedics to safely move him down some stairs and out of the house.
The Helimedix then accompanied him in a land ambulance to Bedford South Wing Hospital. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a serious condition.
