Carers in Central Bedfordshire are being encouraged to go along to the latest Carers Forum at Priory House, Chicksands on Friday, December 13, which aims to bring local carers together to share experiences and talk to a range of professionals.

This latest forum will be focusing on dementia, providing an overview of dementia services across Central Bedfordshire.

Councillor Carole Hegley, Executive Member for Social Care, Health and Housing, said: “If you are a family member, neighbour or friend who cares for someone with dementia, then come along to the forum to share your experiences and discuss issues which affect you everyday.

“Although the focus of the forum is on dementia, all carers are welcome and there will be chances to meet other carers and get information and support.”

More information about local support is available in every GP surgery in Central Bedfordshire through the Carers Pack.

You can also visit www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/carers, email carers@centralbedfordshire.gov.uk or call the Central Bedfordshire Carers Helpline on 0300 300 8036.
