Blunham Youth Football Club is on the lookout for the next Lionel Messi, Christiano Ronaldo, Jose Mourhinho or Arsene Wenger. It’s holding trials early in June for aspiring young players in the Under 8 and Under 9 age groups.
Founder and head coach John Arundel, 48, said they were also hoping to start a girls team for Saturday morning matches. The Club – formed in 2013 – was given a boost recently when it received a cheque for £303, presented by Waitrose representative Zoe Stafford as part of the supermarket chain’s Community Matters scheme.
