Graduates of the new Jagged Edge and Bedford College Academy passed with flying colours and 100 per cent success rate. They are now at work at Jagged Edge outlets.

At an awards ceremony held at the college’s training salon, Brooks, in Bedford High Street, the students were presented with certificates by Zak Resinato managing director of Jagged Edge and Ian Pryce, chief executive of Bedford College.

Zak joined forces with Bedford College when he found he needed more staff, trained to the highest standards to meet the demands of his fast-growing barbering chain. With outlets in Bedford High Street, Kempston Interchange Park, Sandy and Clapham – and more in the pipeline – Zak teamed up with Kerry Attfield, assistant director, Hair and Beauty of Bedford College to create the innovative academy.

Said Ian: “This is a really innovative and exciting training venture that supports a great business expansion plan for Jagged Edge under Zak’s entrepreneurial leadership.”

Zak added: “It is only because Kerry and the team at Bedford College have been so open to supporting ourselves as a real employer that the academy has been made possible. We have all learned so much this year and I am already looking forward to working with the next group.”
