Staff from coffee shop Limes of Bedford embarked on a cycling challenge in aid of Sport Relief this morning.
Employees plan to cycle 100 miles on their sandwich delivery bike, which will be set up inside their new Harpur Street shop.
Pedalling started from 8am today (Monday) during the shop’s opening hours only and all members from the team at Limes will be taking part.
Owner of the business Helen Evans said “We were inspired by Davina McCall recent triathlon’ in aid of Sport Relief and decided to set ourselves a challenge.
“We aim to cycle 20 miles each day over a five day period – this might not sound too challenging in terms of the actual mileage - however we are only allowed to cycle during our opening hours of 8am until 4pm.
“And we can only cycle when we are not busy serving our customers and making and delivering our business
lunches and party food.
“When we have a spare few minutes we will be hopping on the bike and pedalling like mad.
“During the week we shall also be making and baking homemade Sport Relief treats and all our tips will be donated too.
“We are delighted that many of our customers and friends have already started to generously sponsor us.”
To see this challenge taking place, or if you would like to sponsor the team at Limes of Bedford,
pop into the Harpur Street shop during this week.
