METHODIST and Church of England leaders have joined forces to ensure that everyone has access to religious bereavement care.

The new Church Funerals service will ensure that a minister is available to offer pastoral support following the death of a loved one.

Richard Hibbert, the Rural Dean of Bedford, said: “People may not have been regular church goers but following a death they can be sure that the church is there for them and we will do everything we can to offer support.”
