Christmas concerts put on by Flitwick Singers will raise funds for the Bedfordshire ME Support Group in honour of 23 year old Becki Luscombe.

Her mother Sue is a member of the choir.

They will be performing at Sacred Heart Church in Flitwick on Friday, December 18 and on Saturday, December 19 at Flitwick Methodist Church from 7.30pm.

Becki tragically died in September last year. She had suffered from chronic fatigue syndrome, also known as ME, since the age of 12 and later developed mental health problems.

Despite her difficulties she had campaigned during her life for mental health and ME awareness and equality.

Earlier this year she was posthumously honoured by Nick Clegg, who was deputy prime minister at the time, in his prestigious Mental Health Hero Awards.

ME affects an estimated 250,000 people in the UK. The support group helps sufferers and their families, provides information and campaigns for better understanding of this chronic condition.

Entrance to the concerts costs £6. Email flitwicksingers@gmail.com.
