A new cattery which has opened just outside Bedford was unveiled at a special ceremony.

The chairperson of Ravensden Parish Council, Helena Walker, recently opened the deluxe boarding cattery in the village.

The formal opening took place when she cut the ribbon at Willow Cottage Cattery’s open day on Saturday, March 28.

Visitors were also welcomed to attend to take a tour of the new facilities and services at Willow Cottage Cattery, owned and run by Shana Monk.

She said: “We want all our customers and their owners to feel confident that they will get the best personal care from us just as they would at home.”

Shana has a wide experience in the animal welfare environment and has previously been involved in rescue work for the RSPCA.

Helena said: “The cattery has wonderful facilities for a cat to have a holiday and is an asset to this area.”

The new cattery welcomed some of its first furry guests over the Easter break.

The cattery has opened to serve the town and the wider county of Bedfordshire from its rural location in Oldways Road, Ravensden.
