Workflow wizards land top contracts

Saving customers the pain of hanging on the phone to companies is just one way a Bedford firm has built its success.
Massoft, formed in 2007, specialises in improving workflow and customer service.
That has landed contracts with major companies such as Nationwide Building Society, Vodafone, Santander and Barclaycard.
It is also improving efficiency and driving down costs at local authorities including Bedford Borough and Central Beds councils.
Bedford & Kempston MP Richard Fuller was invited to their Brickhill Drive, Bedford offices where he met company chief executive Martin Scovell and chatted to the firm’s 30-strong workforce.
Mr Scovell explained to the MP how the company worked, using a web-based managed service to link up workflow and communications. He used an example of how organising processes could see customer satisfaction dramatically improved - avoding such irritations as being pushed from pillar to post on the phone.
He said: “We’re a Bedford-based technology team delivering business simplification solutions to big organisations around the world.”
Success was driven by customer demand, he said, with the firm on course to double in size this year.
Mr Fuller said: “A start up business success like this is where the future of this town lies.
“We need businesses to start local, stay local and employ locally.”
