Mercs made their mark in the Millbrook mud
CAR dealers from Milton Keynes, Bedford and Northampton saw 22 of the latest AMG and Mercedes-Benz vehicles put through their paces as a proving ground in Bedfordshire.
The Mercedes-Benz regional performance driving day at Millbrook saw 150 guests witness the cars on a variety of tracks and terrains and even go for a spin themselves.
Among the Millbrook tests were the high speed circuit, the alpine hill route and for the SUVs the extreme conditions of the challenging off-road track.
Justin Shipley, general sales manager at Mercedes-Benz of Bedford, was key in co-ordinating the May 29 event with Milton Keynes and Northampton dealerships. Justin said: “Following the success of last year’s event, which we ran with 35 of Bedford’s customers, we wanted to extend the reach and encourage increased partnership relations with this year’s driving experience day.”
“Millbrook’s versatile routes made it the ideal location for the ‘ride and drive’ day, and like our customers, we have been amazed by the capabilities of Millbrook Events’ Pod venue and Millbrook Proving Ground in general. We look forward to working with Millbrook Events again soon.”
The entire event was led by Millbrook Events’ senior events manager and account manager, Meena Chander, who managed the planning and operations of the day.
Millbrook’s four purpose built venues hold up to 1,250 people and has vast test track facilities.
