Embankment bosses ‘best employers’
A PUB company that runs three venues in Bedfordshire has been named ‘Best group pub/bar employer’ in the 2012 Best Employers In Hospitality Awards.
Peach runs The Embankment in Bedford, The Black House in Woburn and The Swan in Salford, and collected the award at a glittering ceremony in London.
The awards are run by Caterer.com and recognise employers who are doing the most to attract, train, retain and motivate their staff and to offer world-class customer service.
Entries were judged on the opinions of over 5,000 employees.
Spencer Graydon, operations director for Peach, said: “We put our people at the centre of everything we do - we don’t say that lightly, we really mean it.
“We want to be a place where we can grow the caterers of tomorrow and we work very hard to help our people achieve their ambitions. We still firmly believe that this is the only industry where you can start as a glass collector and end up running the business.”
