DRAGON’S Den star Theo Pathitis offered a Bedfordshire firm a web boost, when he Tweeted about the firm.

Last month Tracey Thomas tweeted about her business Ocean Blue Candy Ltd during the Small Business Sunday, an initiative set up by Theo that runs every week.

Theo re-tweeted Tracey’s message to his 250,000-plus followers, and her firm’s website www.oceanbluecandy.com gained more than 200 new followers, as well as extra enquiries and orders for her confectionery distribution business.

The firm has also been profiled on Theo’s new website www.theopathitissbs.com which is exclusive to Small Business Sunday winners.

Tracey said “we’ve only been in business three years and have recently moved to our new premises in Wyboston.

“With the slowdown in the economic climate it is fantastic to have support from Theo because it’s been tough trying to raise our profile and let people know about the new areas of confectionery that we are developing such as promotional confectionery for businesses and candy buffets for wedding and events.

“We are delighted that Theo has recognised our hard work and helped spread the word about what we do to his following.”

Anyone looking for a re-tweet from Theo should tweet him about their business on Sunday between 5-7.30pm and include the hashtag #SBS.

Six lucky businesses are re-tweeted every week and are then invited to enter their profile on the new website. This is done free of charge and the new website is sponsored by Rymans Stationery, where Theo is Chairman.
