An historic village pub is bucking the trend and has a new lease of life as new management moves in following a refurbishment.
Vicky Warriner and Nick Turpin have taken over at the popular village pub, The Bell at Odell, with a new look and new menu to attract the whole family.
Vicky said: “Both myself and Nick are both very happy to have taken over The Bell. and we have been welcomed in by the local people.
“Our menu is freshly cooked, and the ingredients are all locally sourced. Younger diners are very much welcomed, and for our smaller diners we have got kids plates and cups. We also have colouring sheets for while they wait for their meal.
“We would like everyone to know that because the menu is cooked to order, there might be a slight delay from time of order to when you receive your meal.
“We hope to welcome you all into the pub soon to see all of our improvments.”
The Bell held a grand opening day on Friday, August 22 when visitors were invited to try the new menu.
Such favourites as steak and kidney pudding, pork belly and homemade burgers are on the new menu, and a new wine list has also been introduced.
Vicky added: “There will now be table service, instead of having to order at the bar. Our garden is going to be revamped also by a local gardener. We will have new garden furniture, so you can have the option of eating inside or outside.”Visit www.thebel linodell.co.uk
