A delegation from Bedford has told city investors how the town is ‘open for business’
Mayor of Bedford Dave Hodgson and chief executive of Bedford Borough Council, Philip Simpkins, recently led a delegation to London to speak to business investors on Bedford infrastructure projects, town centre redevelopments and local commercial land opportunities.
The event was held in the city and attended by over 40 investors, developers and commercial agents representing business end-users.
The Bedford delegates empahsised the message that the town is open for business and has the land options available for office, manufacturing and warehouse developments with the transport infrastructure and skilled workforce to make the town the business investment location of choice.
The event was held at commercial property company, CBRE’s UK headquarters.
Mr Hodgson said: “Attracting business investment and creating new jobs is a key goal for Bedford Borough Council.
“We want to bring Bedford to those investors, develop relationships and that Bedford is open for business while creating awareness of the exciting opportunities available.
“Investors and developers are already choosing to invest in Bedford.” Call 01234 276084 for more information.
