Regional law firm Woodfines was so impressed with a business expo held in Bedford last year that they have joined this year’s event as headline sponsor.
Woodfines, with offices in Bedford, Sandy, Cambridge and Milton Keynes, senses the economic recovery is gathering pace and sees this year’s Beds SME Expo as a key event in the county’s business calendar.
Peter Mount, partner in Woodfines’ commercial department, said: “Woodfines exhibited at the Beds SME Expo in 2013 and found it to be a great opportunity to meet with a number of businesses from the Bedfordshire area.
“We are committed to providing a specialist service to small and medium sized businesses for their legal needs at all stages of the business life cycle.
“As the business economy recovers, we feel that events such as the Beds SME Expo give business owners and entrepreneurs the chance to make professional contacts and develop their necessary business skills to ensure their ongoing success, and so we are glad to be supporting the Expo as headline sponsors this year.”
The Beds SME Expo will be held at Bedford International Athletics Stadium, in Barkers Lane, Bedford, on Thursday, March 13, 2014.
Expo organiser Damian Cummins said: “Woodfines is a firm of friendly and approachable community based lawyers who strive to deliver pragmatic solutions whilst maintaining a ‘client first’ philosophy, so they are an absolutely perfect fit for headline sponsorship of the Beds SME Expo.
“Having exhibited at last year’s expo it is great to see Woodfines come on board as a headline sponsor.
“It is a fantastic vote of confidence in the event and we heartily welcome their involvement and look forward to working with them. It is one of a kind in Bedford.”
Business leaders will be able to meet for face-to-face networking as well as have guaranteed footfall around their stalls.
Beds SME Expo is organised in association with the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and is sponsored by the Beds Times & Citizen, Bedford Borough Council and Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce.
Doors will open to visitors from 9.30am to 1pm and this year’s event is set to top the 2013 Beds SME Expo, when 60 businesses from Bedfordshire, Luton, Milton Keynes and beyond took exhibition stands.
There’s lots going on for free, including entry for visitors, tea and coffee, speed networking and ample free parking. There will also be a networking breakfast and a networking lunch.
