Bike stolen while owner shops in food store

Police are appealing for information after a bicycle was stolen from outside the Premier Food Store on the junction of Newnham Avenue and Goldington Road, Bedford.

The theft took place between 4.35pm and 4.45pm on Saturday, February 7 when the owner left her bike outside the shop while she popped inside.

When she came out a short time later she discovered that the bike has gone. She did see a young male hanging around outside the shop with a scarf covering his face some time before she came out of the store.
