A popular BBC broadcaster and former Westfield School pupil thrilled students when she visited the school.
Noreen Khan, who presents a daily programme on the BBC Asian network, took the time to come back to her old school and chat to the pupils about her life working in the media.
Noreen said: “I used to attend Westfield and loved my time there and I still have really fond memories of the teacher.
“It was lovely being invited back and being interviewed by the brilliant school council. It was great to see how the school has developed over the years and Westfield is definitely going from strength to strength. I was really proud seeing my old school doing so well.”
Noreen’s family still live in Bedford.
Head teacher Karen Watts said: “It was wonderful to welcome Noreen back to Westfield and I am pleased that she had so many happy memories of our school.
“The pupils were so interested to hear about her life in the media and asked her lots of questions.
“We are very proud that she is one of our former pupils and is a great credit and inspiration to the school.”
