The first pop-up shop has opened at The Art Centre and Gallery in Bedford.
Open until Saturday, July 19, the shop features artwork from eight talented local arts and crafts people.
Shoppers are invited to the centre in Howard Street to pop in and take a look.
For some of the artists it is their first exhibition, whilst others have designed for prestigious places such as Harrods.
The eight artists exhibiting are;
Fiona Wilson – Mixed Media Artist
Paula Bailey – Painted and Decorated Vintage Furniture
Nancy Batty – Collage Giclee Prints
Claire Bliss – Ceramics and Mixed Media
Lloyd Lugsden – Contemporary Silk Screens and Lino Cuts
Gillian Romeo – Artist Illustrator
Jackie Trundly-Wear – Personalised Decorated Canvases
Janey Whitehorn- Silk Cushions, Scarves, Marbled Lamp Shades, Make Up Bags etc
A spokeswoman for the centre said: “The new pop up shop is just the start of the Art Centre’s new plans to make it the hub of all things artsy in Bedford, with a wide range of workshops starting this month available for booking covering everything from Special Effects Make Up, Life Drawing to Children’s weaving. We’d love people to get involved!”
