Descriptions have been issued of two men who locked a woman in her own house.

The incident happened at the property in The Pyghtle, Turvey, around 9.20pm yesterday, April 30.

A man knocked on the door and claimed that he had damaged her fence, and that she should come outside to look at it. While the woman went outside two men entered the house. When the woman went back into the house, the two men left, locking the woman inside on their way out.

Detective Constable Jason Wheeler said: “This was an awful crime which has left the victim understandably very shocked and upset. I am urgently appealing for anyone who may be able to help us identify the two men responsible to contact us immediately.”

Both men are described as white and aged around 16. One is described as thin and wearing a blue linen style hat and a navy t-shirt. The second is described as wearing dark clothing and a dark baseball cap.

Nothing is believed to have been stolen during the incident.
