Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Bedford last week.

The incident happened at around 7pm on Thursday, (November 19) when woman was approached by a man as she was walking along Ford End Road, near the junction of Hurst Grove.

The man grabbed her handbag, but made off empty handed.

He is described as Asian, in his late teens, skinny and around 5ft 8in. He was wearing a charcoal grey hooded top, with the hood up, blue jeans with a hole in the knee, black gloves, and a gold chain around his neck.
