Blaze causes £100,000 worth of damage

Police are treating the fire as arson and are looking for witnesses
A large fire in Blunham has resulted in damage worth over £100,000

The Bedfordshire and Luton Fire and Rescue Service were called to the blaze at about 12.30am on Sunday morning (March 7) to find a number of trailers alight at Abbey Corrugated Ltd in Blunham.

The company makes corrugated cardboard and packing and the trailers were full of cardboard. Six were completely destroyed and two others were damaged.

Police are treating the fire as arson and are appealing for anyone with informaion to come forward.

CID officer PC Barry Kerr is investigating the incident, and would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, or saw anything suspicious that could help determine how the blaze was started.
