£100,000 drugs busts
Police swoop on Monday
Drug busts in which more than 100,000 worth of narcotics were seized were carried out by police on Monday.
Officers raided a house in Chester Road in Queens Park, Bedford and found 12 kilos of 'good quality' imported skunk cannabis.
Shaun Gilbert, 28, of Chester Road, has been charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis.
A man was arrested in Prebend Street, Bedford, on Friday after being found with 40 large wraps of heroin and cocaine worth around 800. A second man, who was seen with him, was also later arrested at a house where drug dealing equipment was found.
Torin Brown, 33, of Durham Close, Bedford, has been charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs. Graham Turner, of Aire Walk, Bedford, has been charged with possession of heroin and cannabis.
Another two men were arrested in Dane Street after officers found 600 worth of heroin and 200 cash in their car on Monday, March 1.
Jasbir Singh Gil, 41, of Gold Street, Northampton, has been charged with intent to supply class A drugs.
Covert observations by officers in Park Avenue, Bedford, also led to the arrest of a man with heroin on Wednesday last week.
Kulwant Sohal, 28, of Cardington Road, Bedford, has been charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
A warrant at a house in Coventry Road resulted in a small amount of cannabis being recovered and a man being cautioned.
Officers also stopped a vehicle in Whitsworth Way, Wilstead, and found crack cocaine worth 22,000, an imitation handgun, two stun guns, ammunition, a machete, a knife and a baseball bat. Parvan Dadhria, 21, of High Road, Cotton End, has been charged with being concerned in supply of crack cocaine.
A 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, possession of an imitation firearm and possession of an offensive weapon.
Det Sgt John Walters said: "It's been an excellent week for taking drugs off the streets of Bedford."
