United Sporting claim Beds FA Fair Play Award

United Sporting Luton were rewarded for their excellent disciplinary record at Bedfordshire FA's AGM last Monday night.

The club were handed the 2008 Fair Play Award in recognition of their conduct on the field and will receive two Umbro matchplay balls for their efforts.

Club secretary Shakayet Hussaon said: "We always aim to play football in the manner the creators wanted – respect the opponent and yet strive hard to win.

"Football nowadays is full of so much bullying and disrespect for the officials that the number of people taking up refereeing is falling. At USL we ensure that our players have the utmost respect for everyone and this award is testimony to our beliefs."
