Luton CC continuing to struggle

Luton Haiderys kept up the pressure on Luton Midweek Cricket League Premier Division leaders Kashmir Cavaliers with an eight-wicket defeat of bottom side Luton CC.

Luton made 116-7 from their 16 overs, a total Haiderys had few problems in passing as they cruised to 119-2.

AKCC dropped further behind the pacesetters as they slumped to a 23-run reverse against Luton Cricketers.

Cricketers reached 115-6 before restricting AK to 92.

In a low-scoring affair, Luton Hawks beat Luton Pakistanis by 28 runs.

Batting first, the Hawks struggled to 99-7, but this proved more than enough as the Pakistanis crashed to a poor 71 all out in pursuit.

In Division One, Challney claimed a much-needed win as they overcame Luton Majestic by 15 runs.

Challney totalled 113-5 from their allocation and Majestic could only reply with 98-9.

AK XI did their title prospects no harm as they cantered past Houghton Town. Houghton made 107, and AK reached 108-4 with five overs to spare.

Kingsway got the better of Luton Haiderys IIs by 15 runs, scoring 126-7 before keeping the latter to 111-8 in reply.
