Former WBU and Commonwealth lightweight champion undecided over his future
Emotional Graham Earl admitted he had to fight back the tears before claiming victory in possibly his last fight on Sunday.
The former WBU and Commonwealth lightweight champion made a winning return as he triumphed in his home town with a 60-54 points victory over Birmingham journeyman Karl Taylor.
Earl, 30, said: "It was emotional. I was getting ready to go in the ring and I felt the old tear ducts filling up and I had to sort myself out.
"I didn't realise how much it meant to me until the night.
"I've ticked that box, fighting in my own town and finishing off with a win, so I could be quite content with that."
