Keeper receives an earful from former team-mate Howard

A wonder save from Dean Brill, coupled with a Matthew Spring 30-yard belter, helped the Hatters hold League One Leicester to a 1-1 friendly draw at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday night.

Keeper Brill produced a brilliant full-stretch save to his left to deny former Luton Town favourite Steve Howard from the penalty spot in the second half.

The 22-year-old said: "Funny enough usually he goes the other way in training. But I noticed he had changed his run up. Afterwards he came and had a go at me and told me off. He just said well done and no hard feelings."

On the game and his own performance he said: "It was good to get back to the ground and we are starting to step it up now. There's still lots I can iron out. It's still early in pre-season."
