Leicester's relegation throws a spanner in the works for winger's move to the Midlands

Winger David Bell's transfer to Leicester City is now in jeopardy following the Foxes relegation to League One on Saturday.

The deal drawn up between the Hatters and the Foxes depended on City retaining their Championship status.

But their 0-0 draw at Stoke City on the last day of the season saw them dumped down to the third tier of English football for the first time in their 124-year history.

But Gary Sweet, a director of the LTFC2020 consortium bidding to take over the club, said this week that the deal is not dead in the water.
He said: "It's not black and white with Leicester.

" We are led to believe with Leicester that they are very keen on Bell because he has done well since he has been there."
