Stopsley Striders win both the men's and ladies' Luton 10km team races


The Luton 10km race took place in sweltering conditions on Sunday morning at the Vauxhall sports ground.

The last in the three race series also hosted the Eastern Veterans' Championships and Paul Dobson of Springfield Striders and England International Jane Clarke of City of Norwich won the individual titles.

Local club Stopsley Striders won both the men's and ladies' team races.

Strider Louise Peters and junior Ben Corfield of Leighton Buzzard AC took the series titles.

There was also a famous face among the runners with BBC commentator John Motson taking part.
