Save money on energy bills with a new build property

In the wake of the energy bill price hikes from various energy suppliers, leading developer Bloor Homes has highlighted the savings that can be made by choosing a new property at one of its new developments in Bedfordshire.

With the nights getting colder, homeowners are being advised that having to turn down the thermostat to save money isn’t necessary. New homes can be 55 per cent cheaper to run than typical Victorian or Edwardian properties — saving £1,300 a year on a four-bedroom detached house, according to housing researcher NHBC Foundation.

Vanessa Macnee, Sales Director of Bloor Homes, comments: “Often the comparison between the cost of running an older property and a new build home can be surprising. Bloor Homes’ properties are built with energy saving in mind, with effective insulation and double glazed windows that keep your house warm, especially in time for winter.”

At Silsoe Grange in Silsoe purchasers can choose from a variety of different housetypes.

The development comprises two, three four and five bedroom homes in a village location yet within easy reach of the beautiful Bedfordshire scenery and magnificent Wrest Park with its 90 acres of parkland.

Currently available are two, three and four bedroom homes with prices starting at £194,950 for the two bedroom Marford, rising to £365,950 for the four bedroom Hanbury.

Ampthill Heights is located in the ancient Georgian market town of Ampthill at the heart of rural Mid Bedfordshire. The development comprises a collection of spacious three and four bedroom family homes, with places of interest locally such as the 160 acres of parkland and woodland.

Just two plots remain at the development, which is the three bedroom Fanhope at £228,950, and four bedroom Hammond from £375,000. Further information from the marketing suite on 01525 840756.
