Prepare for laughs galore as Castle Comedy returns to a newly-refurbished venue this month.

After a short break the monthly comedy club is returning on Thursday, November 8 to the shiny new Gordon Arms’ Ent Shed in Castle Road, which has just under gone a major refit.

And there is a fantastic line-up with three headline acts.

First up is Dan Wright, a comedian, actor and presenter who has appeared on numerous television shows, including Big Brother’s Big Mouth and Hollyoaks.

He is gaining a reputation as an outstanding comic and is hotly tipped to be a major star. His first solo show Michael Jackson Touched Me was a sell-out at the Edinburgh Festival, and was nominated for ‘best show’ at the Leicester Comedy Festival.

Next on the bill is Amelia Jane Hunter, a quintessential Australian who regales the audience with the most honest and hilarious stories.

And finally Nik Coppin, who is deemed one of the finest stand-up comics on the international circuit today.

He has performed solo shows all over the world and developed an international cult following.

His extremely likeable style and infectious energy builds incredible audience rapport. His comedy mines a broad range of topics from his multi-cultural background to superheroes and current affairs, all covered with whip sharp observations.

Also on the bill is Nick Dixon and your MC for the evening is Luton’s Comedian of the Year 2011, Chris Purchase.

The show starts at 8pm and tickets are £8 or £15, which includes a pre-show meal and glass of wine at the Gordon Arms.
