Model revs up for race car challenge
A RACING driver who doubles up as a catwalk model has taken on her latest challenge, after testing a new car for a BBC show.
Annalese Ferrari, who lives off Eastcotts Road in Bedford, was filming at Bedford Autodrome last week when she tried out a John Cooper Works Mini that will compete in a feeder series for the British Touring Car Championship. The show is set to follow her progress throughout the year.
And 23-year-old Annalese, who is currently in talks with film bosses about working on a Hollywood blockbuster, will appear later this year as a stunt double in a popular TV soap.
She said: “Driving is something I’ve always wanted to do, and being up at the Autodrome was great fun.
“I’ll be racing in a Ferrari later this year, which will be another ambition fulfilled, when I go to Las Vegas for the GT3 Cup racing against Lambourghinis and Jaguars.”
Annalese also works as a stunt driver, and admits that even on the track she takes pride in her feminine side.
She said: “When I’m at the track I’m only thinking of my car.
“But I still have my make-up on when I drive, just because you are racing it doesn’t mean you have to dress like a boy.”
