In the mood for dancing in Strictly weekend fun

editorial image

Twinkle-toes and dancing shoes combined to raise a five-figure sum for charity on Sunday night (November 4), as Strictly Bedford came to a head.

The likes of Beds Police’s Chief Constable Alf Hitchcock, Bedford College principal Ian Pryce and Kerry Cash of 5th Avenue Hair And Beauty Spa all vied for the crown.

But the winners were Zak Resinato of Jagged Edge in Bedford High Street, and Amy Rance, sports development officer at Bedford Borough Council

Around 600 people watched the event which took place over Saturday and Sunday evenings.

And between £10-15,000 was raised for the dancers’ nominated chairities.

Highlights included the chief constable carrying handcuffs as a prop and the chief fire officer carrying a toy firefighter as a mascot.
