Have a heart at Harvest Festival

editorial image

Kind-hearted youngsters at The Haven 2000 nursery have been busy for Harvest Festival, bringing in tins of food and making cakes for a night shelter.

The youngsters, who attend the family-run nursery in Clapham Road, handed the donations over the Bedford Night Shelter which is run by the Kings Arms Church Project.

Nursery manager Maria Riley said : “We wanted to donate our Harvest Festival gift to a local good cause. The children have enjoyed making cakes for the hamper and they understand how their gift can really make a difference to people who are not as fortunate.”
