Brass bands raise £2k charity sum

A TRIO of brass bands joined forces to raise almost £2,000 for charity last month.

More than 70 players from all three bands within the family of Bedford Town Band came together for the show A Celebration Of Brass at St Andrew’s Church in Kimbolton Road, in aid of Bedford Hospitals Charity’s Primrose Unit appeal.

13 of the 20 pieces performed were either written or arranged by member Roger Nicholls.
