New owners for White Lion shopping area

A £25 million deal has been clinched for the sale of the White Lion Retail Park, in Dunstable.

Owners USS, the Universities Superannuation Scheme pension fund, have sold the retail park to the M&G Property Fund.

That fund is managed by Prupim, the property investment arm of M&G, part of the Prudential Group.

The sale comes soon after White Lion representatives talked to Dunstable town centre management committee about ideas to 'glue together' the town centre and the retail park.

One idea was to create a better physical link between the town centre and the park, which has 11 units and two restaurants.
