Lovin’ it litter pick

editorial image

It was not Happy Meals that put smiles on the faces of this band of eco-warriors last week - it was their litter-picking
exploits at the Interchange
Retail Park in Kempston.

The McDonald’s team were joined by Adrian Beardmore, the Mayor of Kempston, and their collection included six tyres, a car seat, one pushchair, three shopping trolleys, a mirrored coffee table, and both pillows and a quilt.

The 15 volunteers included staff from McDonald’s,
Brantanos, TK Maxx and
Aspects security.

Mike Waitman, the
McDonald’s business manager, said: “We started our Love Where You Live campaign at the River Festival when we supported the cleaning teams.”
