Bedford and District Cricket League

A four wicket haul from N Wilson helped Wilden to a seven-wicket win at Bedford West Indians in their Bedford and District Cricket League Premier Division match.

West Indians were skittled out for a miserly 82 in just 30.4 overs, Wilson leading the way with 4-23. E Soares (39) was the only batsman to reach double figures.

C Shaw took 2-18 in response for the home side, but the low target of 83 never looked in doubt and Wilden knocked off the runs for the loss of just three wickets, B Lewin top scoring with 35.

Elsewhere, S Adil's 53 at the top of the order for Shaheedi was the highlight of their 162 at Thurleigh. W Dar took 4-27 as the hosts were bowled out for 128, handing the visitors a 34-run victory.

In Division One, a half century from P Bassin guided Bedford Indians to a 24-run victory over Brickhill.

Batting first, Indians were bowled out for 138, Bassan's 50 the top score, while M Kinsella 3-19 and Z Ishaq 3-42 were among the wickets.
Brickhill collapsed to 114 all out in reply, with only S Smith's unbeaten 68 providing any resistance.

Elsewhere in the division, in a low scoring encounter, Putnoe narrowly got the better of Smith's Arms by 27 runs, with both sides struggling with the bat. Antony Allbones' 15 was the best Putnoe could muster in their 65 all out off 29.4 overs, K Kalkarmi and M White both took three wickets apiece.

And the visitors fared even worse in their run chase, capitulating for just 38 off 13.4 overs as bowlers Matt White (5-20) and Mark Russell (4-16) ran riot.

In Division Three, Prime Ministers were handed a walkover win over Thurleigh II.
